CMS-XML Unable to update ESET NOD32 (2.7)
If you receive a message indicating that the update server could not authenticate your username and password, it is likely due to one of the following reasons: Your username and (or) password is entered incorrectly in the Update Setup
CMS-XML Update attempt failed error (2.7)
Sometimes, your ESET security product displays the error message Update attempt failed . This error message is displayed whenever your ESET security product tries to to download an update but cannot connect to the update server . To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:

Error: Connecting to server - The address of the update server is known, but ESET NOD32 cannot connect. If your update method is to connect (through the internet) directly to ESET’s servers, please check the following:

From the Advanced Setup tree, click Update Make sure that your Update server is set to Choose automatically
