Where is my username located in the program settings?

If you have forgotten or lost your username and password, please click here to access our lost license page. If you are looking for just your username in the program settings, please see the information below.

Following the purchase of ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus, registered users receive an email containing a username and password. This username and password must be entered into the program to allow virus signature updates to be properly downloaded to your computer. In addition, to offer you the most timely response possible, this username will be required when requesting assistance from our Customer Care Department.

To locate your username in ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.0 (Fig. 1-1) and ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0 (Fig. 1-2), please see the steps below:

  1. Open the main program window by clicking the ESET icon  next to the system clock or by clicking Start → All Programs → ESET→ ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus.
     
  2. From the main menu, click Update and then click Username and Password Setup...

  3. The License Details window will appear.

  4. To copy the username into your clipboard, highlight the Username field with your mouse and right-click and click Copy, or press CTRL + C (the CTRL and C keys together at the same time).
     
  5. Click Cancel to return to the main program window. Your username can now be pasted (CTRL + V) into a Customer Care Support Request Form.
