I received a "Known compatibility issues" error from the Windows Program Compatibility Assistant in Windows 7
KB Solution ID: SOLN2334|Last Revised: November 09, 2009

When installing your ESET Security product from a disc, you may receive a message that "This program has known compatibility issues" from the Windows Program Compatibility Assistant in Windows 7. The message will look like the one in the following image (Fig. 1-1):

This error will generally occur if you are installing your ESET security product from a disc which was created prior to the Windows 7 release. Although it is safe to install your ESET Product by clicking Run Program on the Program Compatibility Assistant window, we recommend clicking Cancel and then downloading the latest build from our website to ensure the greatest compatibility.

You might also see the Program Compatibility Assistant warning if you have installed ESET Smart Security 3.0 on Windows 7. To stop this message from appearing every time your computer starts up, select the Don's show this message again option and click Run program to confirm. You can also uninstall ESET Smart Security and install the most recent build.

Please click one of the links below for illustrated instructions on downloading and installing the latest build of your ESET security product:
