Why are my clients running multiple scans on startup?

When an ESET Remote Administrator (ERA) policy is applied to a client, it overwrites the settings from the previous policy. This causes the last run time for scheduled scans to be reset as well. Because of this, the client perceives the previous scans to be missed and it will then run them the next time the machine starts up. This issue has been resolved in version 4.0.467. If you are using a version of ESET Smart Security or NOD32 Antivirus earlier than 4.0.467 and wish to upgrade to the latest version, navigate to the following download page:
