Warning: Backup Microsoft Exchange

Before proceeding, we recommend that you perform a System State Backup on your Microsoft Exchange Server.

  1. Acquire your ESET Username, Password and license file

  2. Export your configuration and backup important files

  3. Install ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server

Installation Method 1: Overinstall (automatically transfers configuration and Antispam settings)

Installation Method 2: Manual uninstall and reinstall (more incremental and requires the manual import and transfer of configuration and antispam settings)

I. Acquire your ESET Username, Password and license file

You will need your ESET Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange Server (EMSX) Username, Password and license file to download and activate your new version of EMSX. If you have lost this information or need to request a new Username and Password or a new copy of your EMSX license, visit our Lost License page.

If you submit a lost license form and do not receive an email with your new license within a few minutes, contact your local distributor or representative to request a new license. Once you have your Username, Password and license file ready, continue to part II.

II. Export your configuration and back up important files
